POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management:
- Oversee financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Manage the preparation of financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow).
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor financial performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
- Recommend financial adjustments to align with company goals.
- Accounts Management:
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and payment of invoices.
- Supervise payroll and ensure compliance with tax and statutory obligations.
- Ensure accurate and timely reconciliations of accounts and bank statements.
- Tax and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, preparing tax filings, and liaising with tax authorities as necessary.
- Prepare VAT returns and manage other tax-related filings.
- Work closely with auditors during financial audits and provide requested documents.
- Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis and present findings to senior management.
- Assist in financial decision-making by providing insights into cost management, profitability, and investment opportunities.
- Monitor cash flow and liquidity to ensure financial stability.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Supervise and mentor a team of accountants or junior finance staff.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide training and development opportunities.
Qualifications & Requirements:- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is preferred.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in financial management or accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience with financial software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Familiarity with accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, financial modeling, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills for reporting and presenting financial information.
