SUMMARY:
DBN000048 - FINANCIAL MANAGER – (PIETERMARITZBURG)

Purpose of the Job:
To manage all financial aspects, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, accurate financial reporting, and the effective management of multiple entities to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

BCom Financial Accounting or equivalent (CA (SA) advantageous)
3 – 5 years in a similar management role
Proficiency in Sage Pastel, VIP Payroll, and Microsoft Excel.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee accounting functions, including preparing and reporting monthly management accounts.
Manage financial aspects of capital projects, ensuring proper tracking, reporting, and budget adherence.
Reconcile service accounts (electricity & water) monthly and ensure accurate cost recovery.
Prepare and coordinate annual budgets while negotiating cost increases to control levy hikes.
Liaise with insurance brokers to mitigate risks and control costs.
Manage reserve funds per statutory requirements and long-term maintenance planning.
Present financial reports, budgets, and AGM presentations.
Ensure timely completion of financial statements and audits.
Develop and enforce internal controls and financial policies.
