A leading car manufacturer is seeking a Financial Manager to join their finance team.

As a Financial Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

• Lead and manage the Support Services team, ensuring smooth operations across all functions.
• Act as a Bank Signatory, responsible for authorizing EFT payments and updating creditor banking details.
• Oversee journal approvals, POS system management, and the release of purchase orders.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and perform income statement analysis.
• Examine monthly statistical reports and Group charges, including managing VAT submissions for the Group.
• Prepare Quarterly Statistical Reports for STATS SA.
• Oversee year-end audits, Support Services budgets, and assist with Group Consolidation and the preparation of annual financial statements for dormant companies.
• Prepare flash reports, monthly, quarterly reports, and forecasts.
• Provide support to department management with queries and budgeting tasks.
• Compile monthly group support services fringe benefit schedules for company cars for payroll, including deduction schedules.
• Conduct monthly variance analysis (budget vs. actual).
• Ensure the implementation and effectiveness of control procedures.
• Provide ad-hoc support for Group management accounting tasks.
