POSITION INFO:

Job Description:
As the Finance Manager, you would be responsible for the following:
Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment
Work closely with other departments to improve administrative systems and overall efficiency
Oversee the hiring, training, development, and performance appraisals of staff, addressing any issues promptly and in line with company policies. Collaborate with HR when needed for support
Act as a strategic partner to the MD, providing insights and guidance on financial, budgeting, and administrative processes
Support business growth initiatives by conducting financial analysis and due diligence, particularly focusing on the African market
Drive cost-saving initiatives and optimize the use of company resources to maximize efficiency
Lead negotiations on commercial terms for irrigation projects across Africa
Oversee and approve the preparation and finalization of monthly and annual financial reports and key metrics
Ensure timely payment of statutory accounts
Take direct responsibility for the General Ledger and Financial Statements, including Balance Sheets, Income Statements, Fixed Assets, and Intercompany reconciliation
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations by staying informed on new and existing legislation, consulting with external advisors, and submitting required financial reports Advise management on necessary actions and potential risks
Manage budgets effectively and monitor expenses to ensure financial control
Stay current on industry trends and technological advancements to drive innovation and maintain compliance

Skills & Experience:
8-10 years of experience
3+ years of financial management experience
Outstanding communications skills
Experience with SAP systems would be highly beneficial
Multi-national experience

Qualification:
Registered with any professional body
Completed Bcom Degree
