SUMMARY:
Our client in the engineering industry is looking for a financial manager to join their team in Midrand.

POSITION INFO:
Position: Financial Manager
Industry: Engineering
Location: Midrand, Gauteng
Salary: Market related.

Qualifications & EXPERIENCE: ?

BCom Degree/ relevant professional certification in Finance /Accounting.
10 years plus experience financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and risk management.
Experience in managing subsidiary accounts for different entities in Africa and exposure to forex transactions.
Experience in the power and IPP industry will be an advantage.

RESPONSIBILITIES: ?

Developing and implementing new operating systems and procedure for the financial section.
Oversee financial operations and ensure efficiency.
Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
Create and monitor annual budgets and forecasts and provide regular updates to senior management.
Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Analyses financial data and provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management.
Review and negotiate contracts, ensuring financial terms are favourable.
Managing relationships with vendors, optimizing costs and ensuring value for money.

Managing the Finance Team:
o Assist in hiring and training of new employees on the financial operations.
o Participate in performance evaluation of finance staff and conduct counselling sessions to identify skill development needs.
