Role Overview

Our client is seeking a Financial/Logistical Assistant to join their dynamic team in Hermanus. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day financial, logistical, and administrative functions. This position is ideal for an organised and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to a growing business.

Key Responsibilities 

• Maintain accurate bookkeeping using Xero, including capturing and reconciling slips, invoices, and statements.
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure records are up to date and payments are managed effectively.
• Process payroll by managing timesheets and accurately capturing employee hours.
• Coordinate local delivery and export logistics, ensuring smooth and cost-effective shipping operations.
• Work with suppliers to request statements, manage accounts, and resolve any discrepancies.
• Process and manage client quotations using Zigaflow or similar systems, ensuring accuracy and prompt delivery.
• Manage office supply orders and facilitate purchases of materials required for production.
• Provide general administrative support to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience with bookkeeping and financial software (preferably Xero).
• Familiarity with quoting tools like Zigaflow or similar systems.
• Experience with payroll management, including processing timesheets and tracking employee hours.
• Prior experience in logistics or export support is a plus.
