SUMMARY:
A UK start-up is seeking a proactive and ambitious Financial Controller ready to dive into all aspects of financial management.
This role includes, but is not limited to, bookkeeping in our Xero platform, overseeing payroll with our accountants, generating monthly management accounts, tracking budgets, managing weekly invoicing for clients and suppliers, and assisting with preparations for our next funding round (including MRR, ARR, and revenue estimation).

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities

Forecasting & Budgeting: Conduct variance analysis and forecast estimated revenue based on key data points to enhance control over sales revenue, margin estimation, and recruitment plans.
Cash Flow Management: Monitor run rate and prepare regular cash flow reports.
Invoicing Support: Manage weekly and monthly invoicing using GoCardless and Stripe to ensure payments are collected as per contracts.
Board Pack Preparation: Contribute financial insights for monthly board packs, covering run rate, closed deals, burn rate, and budget variances.
Xero Administration: Oversee bookkeeping and financial administration within the Xero platform.
Collaboration with Accountants: Work closely with our accountants to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
Financial KPIs Monitoring: Track and analyse financial KPIs within our client’s and develop strategies for improvement.
Strategic Financial Planning: Engage in general financial strategic planning to support the company’s growth.
P&L and Balance Sheet Unification: Streamline and unify work on the profit and loss statement and balance sheet.
Bank Account Administration: Manage and oversee bank accounts.

Qualifications:

Relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Strong experience with Xero.
Experience in cash flow management, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
Familiarity with strategic financial planning and analysis
