Financial Controller

SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced Financial Manager! This role is ideal for a proactive leader who thrives on streamlining operations, implementing efficient processes, and building scalable financial frameworks from the ground up. You will play a critical role in integrating acquisitions, aligning finance teams, and ensuring financial accuracy and control in a rapidly evolving environment. POSITION INFO:

Internal Controls
Ensure accurate reconciliation across payment channels, automate reconciliation processes, and maintain strong internal controls to protect company assets and ensure compliance.
Financial Reporting
Oversee financial reporting cycles, monitor key metrics, and provide insights to support decision-making while ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Cash Flow Management
Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and funding strategies to maintain liquidity and optimize costs.
Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Tax & Compliance
Ensure compliance with tax regulations across jurisdictions, oversee tax filings, and lead external audits.
Additional Support
Assist with fundraising, investor relations, M&A activities, and provide financial insights for strategic initiatives.

Skills & Experience:
Registered with a professional body ie. CA(SA), CIMA
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a financial Management role
Fintech industry experience is highly beneficial
Team management experience

Qualification:
CA(SA) / ACMA, CGMA
CFA is highly beneficial
