Financial Controller

SUMMARY:
We are looking for a highly skilled Financial Controller with a professional finance designation (CA(SA), CIMA) to lead and enhance our finance operations in a fast-growing payments business. You will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, integrating acquisitions, and aligning finance teams. This role requires strong analytical skills, deep expertise in financial controls, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment. POSITION INFO:

Internal Controls
Ensure accurate reconciliation across payment channels, automate reconciliation processes, and maintain strong internal controls to protect company assets and ensure compliance
Financial Reporting
Oversee financial reporting cycles, monitor key metrics, and provide insights to support decision-making while ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Cash Flow Management
Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and funding strategies to maintain liquidity and optimize costs
Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Tax & Compliance
Ensure compliance with tax regulations across jurisdictions, oversee tax filings, and lead external audits
Additional Support
Assist with fundraising, investor relations, M&A activities, and provide financial insights for strategic initiatives

Skills & Experience:
Registered with a professional body i.e. CA(SA), CIMA
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a financial Management role
Fintech industry experience is highly beneficial
Team management experience

Qualification:
CA(SA) / ACMA, CGMA
CFA is highly beneficial
