A dynamic and expanding company with a range of brands spanning industries such as financial services, professional coaching, and technology solutions, is looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Financial Assistant with a solid background in finance, administration, and executive support to report directly to the Managing Director. This full-time, permanent position involves assisting with financial reporting, budgeting, debtors and creditors management, and overall financial operations, while also providing essential administrative support to the Managing Director.

Duties:

• Oversee the preparation of financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual) in consultation with external accounting partners.
• Develop and maintain internal control policies to ensure the integrity of all financial transactions.
• Assist in managing the budgeting process, including preparation, review, and adjustments aligned with company goals.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to the MD for strategic decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations, staying updated on changes in financial legislation.
• Collaborate with auditors to ensure full compliance with all financial regulations.
• Direct and coordinate financial planning and budget management functions in collaboration with the MD.
• Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget and manage cash flow effectively.
• Oversee debtors and creditors, ensuring accurate invoicing, collections, payments, and reconciliations.
• Implement proper credit control measures to minimize risk and maintain healthy cash flow.
• Develop and implement finance, accounting, billing, and auditing procedures.
• Maintain strong relationships with senior management, external partners, and stakeholders.
• Provide executive administrative support to the MD, including scheduling, correspondence, and document preparation.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate record-keeping and prompt resolution of outstanding balances.
• Assist in financial planning, reporting, and operational decision-making.
• Support general office administration, including procurement, supplier coordination, and document management.

• A Minimum 3-5 years of experience in financial administration, accounting, or a similar role.
• Tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, or business administration (preferred).
• Strong understanding of debtors and creditors management, financial reporting, and budgeting.
• Experience in executive administrative support.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
