POSITION INFO:
Objectives of this role

• Be an integral member of the advisory team and provide financial planning and investment advice to clients ranging in age and wealth
• Take primary responsibility for all aspects of a client relationship, working closely to fully understand the financial situation and requirements
• Monitor market performance to develop and deliver sound investment advice and strategies
• Execute accurate reporting that enables sound analysis and financial recommendations
• Comply with national and local financial regulations by studying existing and proposed legislation
• Continue professional development with classes, workshops, webinars, publications, networks, and associations in order to remain up to date with the fundamentals of financial planning, risk management, and investment management

• Providing suitable advice to best fit the needs and requirements of professionals
• Preparing and presenting proposals to existing and potential clients using state-of-the-art financial planning tools
• Meeting clients to understand their financial objectives
• Explaining complex information relating to Financial Advisory in a clear and effortless way
• Managing, maintaining and building new and existing client relationships
• Growing a client book within the first 24 months and consistently thereafter
• Adhering to compliance, operational procedures and practice management standards
• Staying abreast of product information, performance and industry changes
• Building a professional network and sustainable business within the professional market
• Interact with clients to offer guidance, point out products, and assist them in making investment decisions
• Maintain in-depth product knowledge to provide clients with the best, most accurate information possible
• Utilize persuasion techniques when necessary to close sales
• Collaborate with other tax, legal, and insurance professionals to develop a client’s entire financial roadmap and ensure progress in achieving goals
• Review client accounts regularly to determine if adjustments are needed
• Interpret data and prepare income projections, financial summaries, and investment performance reports, and update client portfolios accordingly.

• 2 years’ experience in the Financial Services industry in a Sales role within the risk and investment spaces
• 2 years' Financial Planning experience
• Knowledge and understanding of the dynamics of the professional client market
• Experience and track record in high-performance sales environments
• Knowledge of best practice in Financial Planning and Financial Advisory Services
• Knowledge and understanding of financial planning through meaningful client engagements
• Experience prospecting for clients, actively seek out new opportunities through referrals, networking, and social media
• Look after and grow a portfolio of clients
• Participate in weekly team meetings that provide feedback and continued education opportunities
• Current certificate of qualifications, which include RE 1 and RE 5
• Minimum two years of professional experience
• Knowledge of the insurance, and mutual fund industries
• Personal integrity and an ability to maintain the confidentiality of company and client information
