Financial Accountant -Temp

SUMMARY:
Our client, a reputable JSE-listed healthcare organization based in Gauteng, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Temp Financial Accountant to join their dynamic finance team on a 6-month contract. This role will primarily focus on the preparation of financial statements in compliance with IFRS and company policies, ensuring accurate and timely reporting for internal and external stakeholders.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Ensure that all financial data is accurate and complete, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and supporting schedules.
• Perform reconciliations and ensure proper documentation of accounting records.
• Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial results to provide insights for senior management.
• Support the external audit process and assist in addressing auditor queries.
• Maintain and update accounting records and ensure compliance with relevant tax and financial regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of budget reports and forecasts.

• BCom Accounting, Financial Management, or related qualification (essential).
• Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles or equivalent, or relevant professional experience (essential).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a financial accounting role, ideally within the healthcare or listed sector.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, and accounting practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with ERP systems advantageous).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
