SUMMARY:
Purpose of the Role You will be responsible for managing accounting and financial activities within the framework of IFRS and company policies. The role includes financial analysis, reporting, and supporting department heads with financial insights to assist in budgeting and investment decisions.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Accounting:
Handle accounting, tax, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting.
Perform month-end closure activities, including journal processing and subledger reconciliation.
Conduct bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations per group guidelines.
Prepare monthly group and divisional ad-hoc and standard reports.
Manage fixed assets, including depreciation, additions, disposals, and capital gains/losses.
Participate in annual external audits.
Ensure statutory compliance for local legal entities.
Adhere to internal control frameworks, export control regulations, and transfer pricing requirements.
Manage creditor payments, reconciliations, and payment uploads.
Process ad-hoc payments.

Other Responsibilities:
Serve as a transactional bank signatory, reviewing and releasing local and foreign payments.
Participate in forecasting and budgeting processes.
Manage tax filings and compliance with government reporting requirements
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.

Professional Qualifications & Experience:
Essential Qualification:
BCom degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of commercial experience, preferably in Manufacturing or FMCG.

Experience & Competencies:
Experience in corporate environments with formal reporting structures and strict deadlines.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
Understanding of costing methodologies.
HFM or Hyperion experience is an advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is essential.
