Financial Accountant

SUMMARY:
Join a thriving manufacturing organization in Cape Town as a Financial Accountant. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role offers the opportunity to manage month-end processes, contribute to financial reporting, and support strategic decision-making. POSITION INFO:

Prepare month-end accounts up to management accounts
Investigate variances in the profit and loss account
Perform overall reconciliation to ensure all costs and revenues are accounted for
Prepare and review monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts
Manage relevant areas of the annual budget and assist in the overall budgeting process
Prepare lead schedules at financial year-end and assist with the annual audit
Maintain effective financial controls and reporting structures
Contribute to the daily functioning of the finance team and overall performance
Support senior financial leadership with ad hoc assignments

Skills & Experience:
Recently completed SAICA articles (within the past six months)
Proficiency in Excel and other financial tools; SAP experience is advantageous
Strong financial and commercial aptitude
Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical and entrepreneurial mindset
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Adaptability and a proactive approach to change

Qualification:
CA(SA) (or eligible to register)
