Finance Manager required for a large company based in East London
Seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations of the company, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance with all regulations, and providing strategic financial insights to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections to provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Accounting Management: Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Compliance & Regulation: Ensure the company’s financial practices comply with relevant laws and accounting standards, including tax regulations and auditing processes.
- Cash Flow Management: Manage the company's cash flow, ensuring there are sufficient funds to meet operational needs and investments.
- Cost Control: Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements without compromising quality.
- Internal Controls: Implement and maintain strong internal financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to assist in financial decision-making, and provide guidance on financial matters.
- Stakeholder Reporting: Report regularly to senior leadership and key stakeholders on the company’s financial performance and financial forecasts.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: A relevant degree in Finance / Accounting A professional qualification (e.g., CA(SA), CIMA) is preferred but not essential.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a finance management role, preferably in a property, construction, or real estate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software and systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Microsoft Excel). Experience with property management software is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise with stakeholders, senior management, and external auditors.
