Finance Manager

SUMMARY:
Are you a seasoned finance professional with a passion for property management? Our client, a leading property management company with a diverse portfolio of 80 sites, is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join their team.

This role is integral to the company’s success, focusing on financial oversight for both commercial and residential properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property management, client services, and financial reporting, combined with hands-on experience with MDA software.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management:
   • Oversee the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
   • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
   • Analyze expenses, tariffs, and utilities to optimize profitability.
2. Property Portfolio Oversight:
   • Manage financial operations for 80 sites, working directly with landlords.
   • Ensure financial processes align with property management goals.
3. Auditing & Compliance:
   • Conduct internal audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
   • Prepare and present financial reports to key stakeholders (5 reports).
4. Client Services:
   • Build strong relationships with landlords and tenants, addressing financial queries and concerns.
   • Deliver exceptional client service, ensuring trust and satisfaction.
5. Team Leadership:
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial efficiency.
   • Train and mentor junior staff as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

1. Education:
   • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (BCom) or similar (non-negotiable).
2. Experience:
   • Minimum 5 years of property management finance experience.
   • Proven experience managing financial operations in both commercial and residential portfolios.
3. Technical Skills:
   • Proficient in MDA property management software.
   • Strong analytical skills and experience in budgeting, forecasting, and utilities management.
4. Soft Skills:
   • Exceptional client service orientation.
   • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
   • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
