SUMMARY:
Assist the Senior Manager: Finance and also play an integral role for the Finance team in executing year-end functions.

Must be available from 1 April 2025
4-month contract
- CA(SA) qualification, with at least 5-10 years’ experience in Finance.
- At least 2 years’ experience in managing a team
- Experience in IFRS and GRAP
- Caseware - latest update
- Year end reporting experience
- Sage experience
- Trial balance at Project level
- Annual Report experience
- Review the accounting records in preparation for year-end audit at project level,
- Ensure action plans relating to prior year audit findings are adequately addressed with mitigation plans to avoid re-occurrence prior to the finalisation of the AFS,
- Manage the accrual and provision process to ensure that no accruals and provisions are missed at year end,
- Actively review the draft AFS as they are being prepared to ensure adequate supporting documents are maintained,
- Quality check adequacy and quality of RFI submissions to the AG on sharepoint,
- Review of the annual report changes as and when they occur to ensure these align to the final version of the AFS,
- First review of the National Template year end submission prepared in line with GRAP,
- Address IFRS disclosure findings raised by Internal Audit from the technical review and review of draft AFS,
- Liaison with external auditors relating to AFS review queries as necessary,
- Perform any tasks as allocated by the Senior Manager: Finance.
