POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric/ Grade 12
- BCom Accounting or equivalent
- 2+ years' experience in an Accountant Capacity/preferably manufacturing/Automotive
Main Responsibilities:
- Processing of transactions into correct General Ledger accounts
- Processing transactions for cashbook and petty cash along with reconciliations
- Reconciliation of general ledger accounts
- Collection of outstanding debt due from customers
- Accounts payable first check and sign off approval
- Preparing weekly cash flow forecast
- Preparing VAT returns that withstand an audit
- Payroll accounting
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly management reports and variance analysis
- Preparing financial statements
- Assisting in Audits
- Assisting in income tax calculations
- Assisting in budget compilation
- Assisting with ad-hoc activities/projects
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Professional in finance, especially in finance report analysis and cost management
- Experience in ERP systems
- Ability to work under pressure
- Must be deadline driven
- Good communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Strong knowledge of VAT
- Proficiency in MS Applications
- Ability to multitask and work within deadlines
- Report writing skills
- Basic knowledge of PAYE
