SUMMARY:
Signa Opportunityis recruiting unemployed youth for quality workplace experience through the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative.

About the YES Initiative
The initiative was launched by the President in 2018 and is a partnership with the government and labour department to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africa’s youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over a period of 12 months.

Position: Finance Accounting Intern

Stipend: R5300pm

Location: Boksburg

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:
Financial Data Entry:

Learn and contribute to accurate data entry in financial systems.
Assist in organizing and maintaining financial records.

Invoice Processing:

Gain exposure to processing invoices, expense reports, and receipts.
Assist in verifying and reconciling financial transactions.
Assist in Financial Reporting:
Learn to generate basic financial reports and summaries.
Assist in preparing financial documents for analysis.
Budget Support:
Assist in budget tracking and analysis under the guidance of experienced finance
professionals.
Contribute to maintaining accurate budget records.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

Assist in maintaining organized records of financial transactions and activities.
Contribute to the organization of documentation related to finance and accounting.
Collaboration with Teams:
Work closely with finance professionals and different departments to gather financial information.
Contribute to effective communication within the Finance team.

Requirements:

South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
Recent completion of a relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Basic understanding of finance and accounting principles.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Must be medically fit.
Must not have taken part on the YES Programme before.
Proficient in basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, accounting software, etc.).

Preferred Skills:
A positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow.
Basic knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.
Participation in relevant coursework or training programs.
