Field Technician Agriculture

SUMMARY:
DUR002211 – FIELD TECHNICIAN (AGRICULTURE) - BALLITO
 
Purpose of the Job:
Supporting Agronomist/Horticulturists by collecting various Agri-samples (soil, leaves, water etc.) according to standardized Standard Operating Procedures and sending the samples and related paperwork to the relevant lab for analysis.
 
Required Qualifications & Experience

1. Matric
2. Agriculture Qualification will be advantageous.
3. Must have own pickup truck (bakkie)
4. Experience with agriculture/farming will be advantageous
5. Must be able to speak Afrikaans

POSITION INFO:
Technical Tasks, Competencies & Experience:

1. Collect soil, water, leave, petiole etc. samples from various farms
2. Capture location data on company system
3. Complete relevant paperwork for every sample collected by accurately capturing data on the relevant form.
4. Forward paperwork and samples to the relevant lab and person.
5. Ability to lift and carry > 12 pounds/6kg comfortably
