Field Service Electrician - Tower Cranes

SUMMARY:
Well established company on the East Rand seeks a Field Service Technician (Electrical) who has worked on Tower Cranes 

POSITION INFO:
Role Purpose

• Performs skilled tasks in the electrical / mechanical repair and maintenance of crane related equipment
• Facilitates efficient technical, engineering and after-sales service to customers.
• Diagnoses, overhauls, repairs, tunes, maintains and tests equipment and machinery through the use of specialized tooling and equipment.
• Prepares and submits detailed failure reports

• Trade tested Electrician
• Valid drivers license
• Ability to travel between sites often in remote areas and at unusual hours
• Minimum 4 years experience on working on tower cranes

• Detects mechanical and electrical faults by using specialized tooling and equipment.
• Repairs and maintains components and equipment.
• Follows work assignments received
• Determines the extent of the needed repair and determines the nature thereof
• Perform checks and services on a regular basis and detects possible faults and flaws on affected equipment
• Repairs and/or replaces and fit new sections or new parts
• Improvises necessary solutions as and when needed
• Works with specialized equipment in order to perform daily duty requirement
• Adheres to all health and safety legislation
• Assist spare parts with part identification
