POSITION INFO:

An established and diverse farm in Botriver, Overberg, has a position for a dynamic Farm Manager to join their team.

The ideal candidate is an honest, enthusiastic, experienced, and healthy person with good leadership skills, as well as a hardworking individual who can think independently and innovatively and take initiative.

The role requires the following responsibilities and expertise in the following aspects:

• Wine grape production in liaison with our winemaker.
• Olive and olive oil production.
• Large and small livestock production (Cattle and milk goats).
• Sound knowledge of pruning, irrigation systems and fertilization programs.
• Pest and weed control in orchards and vineyards.
• Good mechanical knowledge for maintenance and upkeep of all machinery and buildings.
• Identifying and developing expansion opportunities.
• Computer skills, administration, and accurate record-keeping.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to drive and manage staff.
• General cleanliness of the farm, buildings, machinery, equipment, and tools.
• Reporting to the owner.
• An appropriate tertiary qualification with approximately 5 years of experience.

Area: Botrivier

Salary: R35 000 – R40 000 p.m. + benefits such as housing, company vehicle, cell phone allowance (depending on experience)
