Factory Manager required for a reputable manufacturing company based in East London , Eastern Cape

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with exposure to mechanical maintenance and factory management.
• Strong technical knowledge of machinery, mechanical systems, and production processes.
• Proven leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Proficiency in [relevant software, e.g., AutoCAD, ERP systems, MS Office]

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily factory operations, including production, maintenance, and quality control.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and technical issues to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations (OHS).
• Collaborate with the engineering team to improve production processes and optimize equipment performance.
• Lead and mentor a team of production and maintenance staff.
• Monitor and analyze production performance metrics and implement improvement strategies.
• Manage budgets, resources, and inventory to achieve operational goals
