Factory Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking a Factory Manager in Cape Town's Southern Suburbs.

POSITION INFO:
Location: Cape Town (Southern Suburbs)

Requirements:

1. High School Diploma (Matric)
2. Proven experience in a manufacturing or production management role
3. Strong leadership and team management skills.
4. Knowledge of safety regulations and quality control standards.
5. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
6. Ability to manage, inventory, and optimize production processes.

• Oversee production processes, ensuring efficient and timely completion of orders while meeting quality standards. While monitoring waste and the reduction thereof.
• Supervise and manage production staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Monitor and maintain the quality of corrugated products throughout production.
• Address and resolve any issues related to defects, inconsistencies, or non-conformities in the product
• Ensure equipment maintenance on a regular basis, reduce downtime, and collaborate with maintenance teams.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage paper cost efficiency and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
• Oversee raw material supply and inventory management, along with coordinating the timely supply of these.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on production performance, quality control, and other key metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and increase productivity.
• occasional extended hours based on production needs.
