Position Summary
Responsible for the Facilities Management and day to day operations of PTI by providing strategies, systems and control mechanisms to achieve the business objectives of increasing efficiency, whilst minimising the risk of loss and non-compliance impacting on the Company
POSITION INFO:
Key Accountabilities/ Principle Responsibilities
PTI Management (People)
Attendance: Ensure full staff compliment on all shifts and effectively manage shift changes, shortages, and problems
Timekeeping: Ensure that all staff report on time for duty
Managing lunch breaks and other intervals
Absenteeism: Report and manage staff not on duty
Initiating of disciplinary action: Take corrective action and ensure submission of completed documentation.
Payroll queries: Compile all Payroll queries and submit to Shift schedulers to be resolved.
Coaching & Mentoring: Identify training needs and assist in finding solution for training
Staff appearance (PPE and Name badges): Ensure that all staff adhere to dress code and Name tags is visible
Cleaning Management
Daily Schedules Check: Ensure PTI is clean, and cleaning schedules adhered to
Consumables: Check that chemicals and other cleaning materials is sufficient
Staff: Ensure that cleaning staff visit PTI as preschedule
Reporting: Report any Cleaning issues to Supervisor and entry in OB
Staff appearance (PPE and Name badges): Ensure that all staff adhere to dress code and Name tags is visible
Security Management
Guards on duty: Check for visibility of Guards when visiting PTI
OB: Ensure entries in OB change of shift and incidents
Key Control: All keys locked in Key box and keys is use signed for in OB
Reporting: Report all issues to Security Supervisor with an entry in OB.
Maintain high security standards and visibility:
Staff appearance (Uniforms and Name badges): Ensure that all staff adhere to dress code and Name tags is visible
Technical Facilities Management Support
Horticulture: Ensure that area outside and around PTI is clean and well maintained.
OHASA: Good understanding of and enforcement to be compliant.
Electrical: Ensure lights, electrical wires are in working order and safe.
Plumbing: Ensure water supply to PTI is in working order and no water leaks.
Reporting: Ensure that all items found out of order reported Via Force Link.
Communication
Force Link: Daily PTI checks and other issues log via Force Link
Call Centre: Log Calls and follow – up on issues found to be out of line.
E – Mail: E-Mail communication on out of line issues that need urgent attention.
Line reporting: All issues to be reported to Line Manager
OB: Security OB used and checked on visits
Diary: Use to record for personal reference
Health and Safety
First Aid boxes: Seals intact and usage reported OB
Fire equipment: Expiry dates and seals
Emergency exits: Clear and not obstructed
Evacuation Drills: Plans visible and staff awareness
Hygiene: Cleanliness of toilets
It should be noted that for operational reasons, it may be necessary for you to perform tasks other than those described herein from time to time
Prescribed procedures may be amended by management as and when required
Key Functional Requirements
Ensure that all PTI staff carry out and perform their duties strictly in accordance with the contract’s Quality Management System encompassing:

Health and Safety Procedures
Qualification Requirements and work-related experience
Grade 12
Any previous tertiary qualification will be advantageous
Preferably previous experience in the Rapid Transport Industry
Previous supervisory experience supervising a team will be advantageous
