SUMMARY:

Our client, a company in the hospitality and gaming industry, is looking for a Commercial Financial Accountant to join their team in Fourways, Johannesburg.

POSITION INFO:
The successful candidate will have a relevant Financial B.Com degree or similar, with CIMA or SAIPA/SAICA affiliation as an added advantage. The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a commercial accounting environment and be proficient in computer literacy, specifically Ms Office, Pastel, Pilot and CaseWare.

Computer literacy: at least intermediate level (Ms Office, Pastel, Pilot, CaseWare)

Responsibilities:

Preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts
Preparation and review of annual budgets and forecasts
Financial modelling and analysis
Financial statement preparation and review
Liaising with internal and external auditors
General ledger maintenance and reconciliation
Preparation and submission of VAT returns
Financial reporting and compliance with relevant legislation
Inventory and cost control management
Developing and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders
