External Sales Representative

SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for an experienced external sales representative to join their firm.

POSITION INFO:
Job Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience in the field of sales.
• An electrician certificate is required.
• Matric.
• Owning a vehicle is a requirement as you would be travelling.
• Proven experience in electrical sales is a non-negotiable.

1. Weekly Reporting:
• Submit a weekly plan sheet, feedback report sheet, and projects report sheet to management.
2. Customer Engagement:
• Call on wholesalers, contractors, architects, Solar Installers and consulting engineers
• Always have a clear objective when visiting a customer. (Reason)
3. Build and maintain good relationships to earn customers' trust.
4. Attitude and Conduct:
• Maintain a positive attitude towards the company.
• Be honest and ethical during working hours.
• Always be professional while representing the company.
5. Availability:
• Open the shop over weekends if needed for breakdowns.
• Only go home if management has been informed with a valid reason.
6. Market Intelligence:
• Report any changes in the marketplace or instances where the opposition has been chosen over the company.
• Identify and report what went wrong and suggest corrective measures.
7. Proactive Communication:
• Act as the company's eyes and ears in the field, reporting anything necessary for management to know.
• Provide helpful ideas and suggestions to management, knowing they will be given due attention.
8. Performance and Growth:
• Perform duties to the best of his abilities.
• Understand the role is challenging but rewarding and will foster personal growth.
• Know that the company supports him as long as he acts in the company's best interests.
