Export Coordinator - Portuguese speaking

SUMMARY:
Coordinate all export goods, places purchase orders with approved vendors, and coordinate all export documentation

POSITION INFO:
Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma
• Three (3) years of related working experience.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese
• Technical and functional proficiency in material & logistics knowledge, geography of Sub Sahara Africa, shipping methods, material handling equipment, export procedures
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Previous experience working in shipping and logistics
• ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  
  
  • Creating files per COMPANY import shipment complete of all necessary paperwork
  • Creating files per ocean export shipment complete of all necessary paperwork
  • Ensure that the export paperwork is accurate/ complete and in line with SAP.
  • Ensure that all export paperwork has been supplied by the freight forwarder in line with COMPANY instructions.
  • Work closely with the different freight forwarders in obtaining the relevant documentation in good time after shipment completion.
  • Create an efficient filing and file retrieval process for all import and export files
  • Daily critical review on export tonnages in SAP
  • Daily communication on progress of file completion and copper/ cobalt stock levels
  • Active involvement in Deloitte / Chartis audits of export shipments
  • Develop and maintain a cost per shipment report
  • Performs other duties as required.
