SUMMARY:
We are seeking the skills of a qualified artisan to fulfil the position of an Estimator, with 10 - 15 years experience in the Heavy Engineering field.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Grade 12 / N3 - Technical Drawing
Qualified Artisan (Boilermaker / Fitter and Turner)
Tertiary education or other relevant certifications will be an advantage
Analyzing Information,
Ability to Estimate,
Planning, Data Center Experience,
Job Cost Accounting Knowledge.

DUTIES:

Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, RFQ, specifications, drawings and related documents.
Identifies cost centers, material, and time requirements by studying proposals,
RFQ, specifications, and related documents.
Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
Prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
Prepares project costing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Maintains cost data base by entering and backing up data.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Responsible for all estimates relating to method of manufacturing.
Responsible for estimation of direct costs concerning manufacturing.
Submit quotations.
Liaison with customers.
Analyse the cost of material (local and overseas)
Analyse costs of sub- contractors.
Any other reasonable duties required
