Estimator (Vanderbijlpark)

SUMMARY:
We are seeking the skills of a qualified artisan to fulfil the position of an Estimator, with 10 - 15 years experience in the Heavy Engineering field.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Grade 12 / N3 - Technical Drawing
• Qualified Artisan (Boilermaker / Fitter and Turner)
• Tertiary education or other relevant certifications will be an advantage
• Analyzing Information,  
• Ability to Estimate,  
• Planning, Data Center Experience,  
• Job Cost Accounting Knowledge.

• Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, RFQ, specifications, drawings and related documents. 
• Identifies cost centers, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, 
• RFQ, specifications, and related documents. 
• Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements. 
• Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information. 
• Prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information. 
• Prepares project costing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. 
• Maintains cost data base by entering and backing up data. 
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. 
• Responsible for all estimates relating to method of manufacturing. 
• Responsible for estimation of direct costs concerning manufacturing. 
• Submit quotations. 
• Liaison with customers. 
• Analyse the cost of material (local and overseas) 
• Analyse costs of sub- contractors. 
• Any other reasonable duties required
