Are you detail-oriented, Excel-savvy, and passionate about a career in Estimating?
I am seeking an experienced Estimator to join my clients' well-established team in Willow Park Manor, Pretoria East.
My client specialises in bespoke furniture manufacturing, shopfitting, furniture installations, vinyl wall coverings, and related custom interior solutions. .
What you will be doing
- Interpreting architectural/building plans and technical drawings
- Preparing accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and Bills of Materials (BOM)
- Estimating costs for custom furniture and interior fit-out projects
- Negotiating pricing and terms with suppliers and subcontractors
- Preparing and submitting detailed quotations and tender documents
- Monitoring project costs and ensuring alignment with budgets
- Collaborating with the design and production teams for seamless project execution
- Assisting with procurement and supplier follow-ups
- Maintaining and updating pricing databases and supplier catalogues
- Managing change orders and cost variations
- Ensuring adherence to company policies and safety regulations
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience in estimating, ideally within furniture manufacturing, shopfitting, or construction
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (must be a fundi!)
- Ability to read and interpret building plans and shop drawings
- Strong negotiation skills and supplier management experience
- Familiarity with project costing and quantity surveying principles
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong numerical and analytical aptitude
- Valid Driver’s License (essential)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday | 07:00 – 16:00 (Closure over December)
