About the Role
A leading multi-disciplinary engineering and consultancy firm is looking for an experienced Engineer's Representative  to join their team.

Based in Johannesburg, with project sites across various locations, this role offers an exciting opportunity to provide professional engineering services across a diverse range of infrastructure projects. You will work closely with internal teams and clients, ensuring the successful design, implementation, and supervision of water, roads, stormwater, and sewer reticulation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Expertise: Provide expert technical input on feasibility studies, design, supervision, and implementation of civil engineering projects.

• Project Implementation: Oversee the development and execution of infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with technical, financial, and safety requirements.

• Design & Site Supervision: Lead the design and site supervision of infrastructure-related facilities, including roads, stormwater, and sewer reticulation.

• Contract & Construction Management: Manage construction works, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

• Cost Management: Control project costs and ensure optimal allocation of resources.

• Client Engagement: Interface with clients, ensuring smooth project communication and successful delivery.

• Compliance & Safety: Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout project execution.

• Report Writing & Documentation: Prepare and present technical reports, ensuring high standards of quality and accuracy.

Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng), Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B.Sc Eng), or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech).

• Honours degree in relevant engineering disciplines will be advantageous.

• Professional Registration with ECSA (Pr Eng/Pr Tech) or an equivalent body recognized by ECSA (Washington Accord, Dublin Accord, Sydney Accord).

• Registered with Environmental Assessment Practitioners of South Africa (EAPASA) or equivalent.

Experience & Skills:

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in civil engineering and contract management.

• Proven experience in managing and implementing civil infrastructure projects (roads, stormwater, water, and sewer reticulation).

• Strong understanding of municipal infrastructure funding models.

• Proficiency in using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Project for design and project management.

• Extensive knowledge and experience in managing contracts such as FIDIC, GCC, JBCC, and NEC3.

• Ability to resolve conflicts and negotiate effectively.

• Exposure to construction work and client interfacing.

• Strong cost management, planning, and financial control capabilities.

• Excellent technical report writing and communication skills.

Added Advantage:

• Experience in dealing with National Roads Services.

• Proposal writing, marketing, and public presentation experience.
