Purpose of Position:

Complement Recruitment are recruiting for an Engineering Manager for a permeant position based in Centurion Gauteng. The main purpose of this role is to Lead innovation and the development of intellectual property, products, and services that support the organization''''''''s growth strategies and solve customer problems. This position reports to the CTO, and has 6 direct reports.

● Collaborate with the CEO, sales, and marketing teams to ensure new products and services closely align with customer needs;

● Ensure stakeholder involvement throughout the product development process;

● Lead the engineering team in hardware and software projects for new and existing IP;

● Guide and support engineers in overcoming technical challenges.

● Implement and maintain thorough configuration management;

● Deliver development projects on time, within specifications, and on budget;

● Provide reporting metrics for the department;

● Evaluate, negotiate with, appoint, and manage third-party engineering service providers;

● Provide technical support to manufacturing and oversee the Production Automation System;

● Oversee technical support services to customers and channel partners;

● Oversee engineering change management processes within in the QMS;

● Support technical sales and marketing collateral;

● Lead certifications and compliances as required by the market and customers;

● Stay informed about the competitive and market landscape, expansion opportunities, and industry developments;

● Support the filing of patents to enhance shareholder value and protect intellectual property in alignment with the strategy;

● Mentor, coach and develop a high-performing team of engineers;

● Inspire, encourage and cultivate a culture that supports the business vision and strategy;

● Continuous improvement of Quality Management Systems within the engineering and development functions.
