POSITION INFO:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Engineering Manager to lead and oversee engineering operations at a large manufacturing facility in the Kliprivier Mill area, Gauteng. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled professional with a proven track record in manufacturing and management to contribute to the efficient and safe operation of the mill.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the engineering team, ensuring the mill's operations run efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all regulations.
• Manage and oversee the maintenance and optimization of plant equipment and machinery.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance, safety standards, and cost efficiency.
• Implement and monitor effective maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
• Develop and manage engineering projects, ensuring they meet time, cost, and quality requirements.
• Provide strategic leadership and mentorship to engineering staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Oversee the execution of plant maintenance strategies, including preventative and predictive maintenance programs.

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering, preferably a Masters degree.
• Extensive experience in a manufacturing environment, with a solid understanding of engineering processes and operations.
• Proven management experience, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Hold a Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) in Engineering.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
• A proactive approach to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
