A leading private hospital in Port Elizabeth is seeking a skilled and experienced Engineering Manager. The successful candidate will oversee the maintenance, repair, and safe operation of all hospital facilities and equipment. This role is crucial in ensuring that the hospital environment is safe, efficient, and conducive to high-quality patient care.

POSITION INFO:
Job Description

Ensuring that the maintenance and operation of movable and immovable plant and equipment.
Ensure execution of infrastructure and construction projects in hospital is carried out in an effective, safe and compliant manner that is aligned to applicable best practices and legislation.
Knowledge of contracts negotiation and management.
OHS Act Regulation
Facilities Management
Financial Project Management
Engineering Procurement Practices.

Requirements

Grade 12 National Certificate.
BTech / Bachelor’s Degree in either Mechanical or Electrical (Heavy Current) Engineering.
Government Certificate of Competency (Factories).
A minimum of 5 years in operations or engineering maintenance.
Practical experiencein the hospital environment or similar environment is essential.
