SUMMARY:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Engineering Power Electronics Designer

POSITION INFO:
Requirements
The ideal candidate is required to have a strong foundation in electronic and or power electronic fundamentals principles with proficiency in in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software producing electrical schematic and mechanical drawings for a variety of projects, ensuring compliance to niche client specifications and industry standards. The successful candidate will report to the Engineering Manager and perform duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager from time to time or by the company

Key Design Responsibilities

• Design and develop power electronics circuits and systems including convertors and associated controllers.
• Analye and optimize designs for efficiency, cost, thermal performance, manufacturability and operability
• Ensure all designs adhere to relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.
• Propose advancements in power electronics technologies and integrate new techniques into designs
• Review and modify existing drawings to improve design, address feedback, or correct errors.
• Maintain accurate records of designs revisions and modifications.
• Perform quality assurance ensuring the integrity of designs and mitigation of production errors.
• Develop comprehensive technical specifications, schematics, testing protocols, and user manuals.
• Compile bill of materials (BOM's), job cards and production manuals.
• Timeous completion of allocated tasks and designs.

• Develop electrical schematics, circuit diagrams, and mechanical drawings for power electronics systems using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
• Design of mechanical cases, cabinets, component layouts and manufacturing drawings.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, managers, ensuring seamless execution assigned design jobs.
• Key Requirements:
• Experience in power electronics design, electronic circuits or testing of power electrical devices.
• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of power semiconductor devices, circuit topologies, control algorithms, and thermal management.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Communication, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Diploma, degree or certification in electrical engineering, electronics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in electronic design and draughting development, with a strong portfolio of relevant projects.
