SUMMARY:
Our client, a dynamic Engineering Consulting company in the building services industry, requires an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team in Cape Town ASAP.
This esteemed company offers exciting projects in multi-disciplinary engineering consulting services in energy, infrastructure, agriculture, building services.
The successful candidate needs to be fully bilingual - Afrikaans and English, must have own reliable transport with valid driver's license, and be prepared to travel to project sites.
POSITION INFO:
Duties & Responsibilities
Electrical Building Services Design Engineer/Technologist
Compile/Prepare electrical design documentation for various building services projects (MV/LV reticulation, lighting & small power requirements, wireways for other services).
Compile/Prepare electronic design documentation for various building services projects (CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, fire detection, PA/voice evacuation systems)
Manage and contract supervision of Building Services projects
Report writing, compiling of technical specification and bills of quantities.
Prepare contract documentation.
Liaise with clients, staff, and other professionals from inception to handover phase.
Desired Experience & Qualification
B Eng / BSc Eng / BTech Electrical Engineering degree essential
Registered or eligible to register with ECSA as a Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng in Electrical Engineering (Professional registration preferred)
Minimum 5+ years’ post graduation experience
Previous Consulting Engineering experience essential
Must have own reliable transport with valid driver's license, and be prepared to travel to project sites
Medically fit to obtain medical certificate for work on building / construction sites
MUST be fully bilingual - Afrikaans and English (RSA citizen)
Preference will be given to candidates living in Cape Town (or must be prepared to relocate to Cape Town)
