SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for an experienced Electrical Designer (E-Plan) to join their team based in Port Elizabeth. This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in automation systems and electrical circuit design, who is looking to take the next step in their engineering career.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop electrical circuits for automation systems in line with industry standards
Electrical commissioning of equipment
Create electrical panel layouts and detailed automation drawings
Provide technical support during equipment build, as well as support for customers and on-site technicians
Assist with troubleshooting and integration of imported equipment
Prepare and maintain accurate electrical documentation
Source and select appropriate electrical components

Skills & Experience Required:

1–2 years of experience in electrical design and automation for machinery and PLC systems
Proficiency in electrical CAD software; E-Plan P8 experience is highly advantageous
Knowledge of electrical drives and machinery
Familiarity with Siemens TIA Portal, Step 7, and/or Allen Bradley CompactLogix (advantageous but not essential)

Qualifications:

B-Tech or B-Eng in Electrical Engineering or a related field
