Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer, with mining experience, to join our client’s team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading mining company, contributing to the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems. The role requires a hands-on professional with a strong background in the heavy industry and compliance with mining regulations.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Design, install, and maintain electrical and instrumentation systems for mining operations.
• Ensure compliance with relevant mining regulations and safety standards.
• Conduct fault-finding, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on electrical and control systems.
• Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to optimize plant and equipment performance.
• Assist with the commissioning of new equipment and upgrades to existing infrastructure.
• Develop and implement E&I engineering solutions to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and ensure regulatory compliance.

• Qualifications & Experience:
  • Degree/Diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum years of experience in an E&I role within the mining or heavy industry.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, SCADA, and instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with Australian mining standards and industry best practices (if applicable).
• Skills & Competencies:
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of automation and control systems.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong safety focus and understanding of mining health & safety regulations.
