Location: South Africa (Citizens/Residents Preferred, Work Permit Holders Considered)
Contract Duration: 2 Years (renewable, depending on performance)

POSITION INFO:

Essential Skills & Experience:

8+ years of hands-on experience with Docker, Python & Linux (Ubuntu preferred)
Strong expertise in Container Orchestration (Docker Compose, Kubernetes)
Proficient in Shell Scripting & Object-Oriented Programming
Experience with Cloud & Edge Deployments

Bonus Skills (Advantageous):

Automation & Configuration: Ansible, SaltStack, YAML, Jinja2
Cloud & DevOps: Azure, GitHub Workflows, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
Networking: Wi-Fi, Ethernet, DNS, SSH, Troubleshooting
Monitoring & Streaming: Confluent Kafka, Prometheus, Grafana, ArgoCD

Your Role & Responsibilities:

Develop cutting-edge cloud and edge computing technologies for global factories
Work in an Agile environment to design, develop, and deploy solutions on physical edge devices and cloud platforms
Shape product architecture by making key design decisions based on plant requirements
Ensure high availability and security of industrial IoT and edge computing solutions
Provide on-call DevOps support for the edge platform
