Our client in the Timber industry is looking for a Earthmoving Mechanic to join their team

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

• Matric
• Trade Tested: Diesel Mechanic
• 3 years of experience working with earthmoving equipment (e.g., CAT, Komatsu, Bell, Volvo)
• Valid driver’s license and own transport

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain earthmoving equipment
• Apply company policies and maintenance guidelines
• Set service objectives and monitor performance
• Report on maintenance activities and ensure targets are met
• Ensure proper tools, resources, and systems are in place
• Comply with safety, health, and environmental regulations
• Train and guide junior mechanics
• Work closely with operations to ensure minimal downtime
• Optimize maintenance costs and efficiency
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and ensure timely procurement of parts
