Our client in the Timber industry is looking for a Earthmoving Mechanic to join their team

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

Matric
Trade Tested: Diesel Mechanic
3 years of experience working with earthmoving equipment (e.g., CAT, Komatsu, Bell, Volvo)
Valid driver’s license and own transport

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and maintain earthmoving equipment
Apply company policies and maintenance guidelines
Set service objectives and monitor performance
Report on maintenance activities and ensure targets are met
Ensure proper tools, resources, and systems are in place
Comply with safety, health, and environmental regulations
Train and guide junior mechanics
Work closely with operations to ensure minimal downtime
Optimize maintenance costs and efficiency
Build strong relationships with suppliers and ensure timely procurement of parts
