POSITION INFO:

A well-established Dental Laboratory in Rosebank, Johannesburg, is looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Technician to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in modern dental technology, particularly CAD/CAM systems, 3D printing, and milling machines such as Armann Girbach or equivalent systems. This position requires a professional with a strong understanding of both traditional and digital dental techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and manage CAD/CAM systems for designing and manufacturing dental restorations
• Utilise 3D printers and software for producing models, restorations, and appliances
• Operate and maintain milling machines, including industry-standard systems
• Implement Digital Smile Design (DSD) protocols to create high-quality aesthetic restorations
• Proficient in fabricating stone models, bite splints, retainers, and other dental appliances
• Restore dental implants with a comprehensive understanding of their components
• Collaborate closely with dentists and lab team members to ensure clinical and patient expectations are met

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Dental Technology (BTech) degree
• Current registration with the South African Dental Technicians Council (SADTC)
• Demonstrated experience as a Dental Technician, with specific expertise in CAD/CAM systems and 3D printing
• Familiarity with Armann Girbach or similar milling machines
• Strong knowledge of Digital Smile Design (DSD) protocols and implantology
• Excellent time management, organisational, and communication skills
• Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and procedures

Salary - Between R20 000 - R40 000 depending on experience 
Working hours - Monday- Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
