POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

Minimum Grade 12
N2 Certification in Electrical Trade Theory or higher
Trade-tested Electrician certification
At least 5 years of experience as an electrician in an industrial or manufacturing setting
Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
Strong understanding of electrical principles, including:
- DC, AC, single-phase, 2-phase, 3-phase, 230V, and 380V systems
- Troubleshooting electrical systems using test equipment like ohmmeters, ammeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes
Hands-on expertise in:
- Installing, assembling, and maintaining electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
- Programming variable frequency drives (VFDs)
- Diagnosing and repairing malfunctioning systems and ensuring compatibility and safety
- Familiarity with machinery used in plastic manufacturing processes, such as injection moulding, blow moulding, and reheat stretch blow moulding
- Basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Soft Skills:
- Fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to act decisively and urgently
- High emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
Health & Safety:
- Knowledge of workplace safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Understanding and enforcement of health and safety compliance
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to work in diverse conditions (hot, cold, dirty, fast-paced environments)
- Availability for overtime, weekend, and night call-outs
- Ability to maintain housekeeping standards in work areas and ensure safety compliance
