A leading company in the industrial sector is seeking a highly skilled ECM Technician to take charge of the Equipment Condition Monitoring (ECM) process. This is a prime opportunity for an experienced professional with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for precision to play a critical role in operational efficiency and plant health.
In this role, the ECM Technician will manage and sustain all ECM data within a centralised electronic database, ensuring accurate reporting and analysis to support maintenance decision-making. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with strong technical capabilities, excellent human relations skills, and a solid understanding of ISO systems.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Overseeing and maintaining ECM databases and reporting systems
- Reporting on plant health conditions and following up on feedback
- Defining and sustaining ECM work processes
- Supporting human relations efforts such as employee development discussions and performance evaluations
- Contributing to SHEQ objectives through ISO 9001, 14001, and 45000 implementation
What You''ll Need to Succeed:
- Matric with Maths and Science
- A recognised Diploma/Degree and Red Seal Trade Certificate
- Certified Category 3 or 4 in Equipment Condition Monitoring
- Proficiency in ECM software (vibration monitoring, thermal camera, ultrasonic)
- Six Sigma Green Belt (advantageous)
- 5–10 years’ experience in a maintenance environment as an ECM Technician (Category 2)
- Previous hands-on artisan trade experience
