Determine client requirements and specifications applicable
Preliminary design to establish pricing structure
Populate price schedule/s and/or getting pricing and cost estimating for Medium Voltage & Low Voltage equipment, electrical panels, control panels, control system (PLC/SCADA), instrumentation, installation, commissioning
Compile tender documentation pack
Generate tender related drawings
Electrical Design
Electrical systems design
Interface to other disciplines
Generate load lists
Single line diagrams (with calculations for breaker sizes)
Schematic wiring diagrams
Cable block diagrams
Cable Size Calculations & Designs
Cable Schedules
Cable routing & racking design
Technical schedules for cabling and motors
Termination schedules
Protection settings
Earthing & Lightning Protection Designs, Layouts & Drawings
Lighting & Small Power – selection of best suited fittings, placement, routing, cabling
Understanding of hazardous area classification, selection of equipment & safe implementation
Electrical Panel Design:
Compliance to Type Test standards
Heat rise and bus bar dimensioning and sizing
Panel enclosure sizing and sheetmetal detailing
Sheetmetal fabricator inspections
Circuit design
Workshop monitoring
Factory testing & reports
C&I Design:
