SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) Engineer to join our client’s team in the mining industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading mining organization, focusing on the structural aspects of plant facilities and ensuring operational efficiency through innovative EC&I solutions.
POSITION INFO:
- Design, implement, and maintain EC&I systems for mining plant structures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Conduct technical assessments and provide recommendations for system upgrades and improvements.
- Collaborate with structural engineers, project managers, and maintenance teams to integrate EC&I systems effectively within plant infrastructures.
- Perform fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis to minimize downtime and optimize plant performance.
- Develop and oversee PLC, SCADA, and automation systems for enhanced process control.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including electrical safety and environmental regulations.
- Lead and participate in commissioning activities for new and upgraded plant structures.
- Provide technical support and training to site personnel.
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in EC&I engineering within the mining or heavy industrial sector.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, SCADA, instrumentation, and automation technologies.
- Experience working with structural plant facilities and integrating EC&I systems into plant infrastructure.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and safety standards (e.g., IEC, ISO, OSHA, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, technical environment.
- Willingness to travel to site locations as required.
