A large, stable company in the manufacturing environment has an opportunity for a Graduate Engineer with less than 1 year of experience.
POSITION INFO:
Requirements:
- BEng degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering is essential.
- Assisting in the process of selecting and procuring electrical equipment.
- Achieving the asset mechanical reliability (AMR) business objectives as well as assisting the Operations team in meeting asset capability (AC) objectives.
- Participating in and assisting with developing and maintaining equipment strategies.
- Providing assistance in the development and implementation of preventative measures for existing structural conditions.
- Providing technical knowledge to the Technical team regarding reliability improvements, repairs, troubleshooting and equipment design requirements.
- Liaising with the Engineering Manager within the Engineering and Projects Drawing departments and completing any tasks assigned.
- Assisting with developing and evaluating solutions for most effective technology (MET).
- Managing the different power sources on our plant (Eskom, Generators, Solar).
- Good written and verbal English communication skills are essential.
- Troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Must be organised with good planning and administration skills.
- Must have a technical sales personality with the ability to work in a team.
- Must be open to a rotational training programme, where the candidate will be working in projects, technical, maintenance and production.
- Candidates must live within the area or be willing to relocate closer to the company.
