Drill and Blast Technician

SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Drill and Blast Technician for their Open-cast mining operations in Rustenburg, NWP.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the drilling and blasting activities at our mining site, ensuring efficient and safe extraction of materials.

**South African Citizens and those living in the area will be preferred**

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:

• Ensure Health and Safety compliance for self and team through relevant standards and procedures
• Conduct inspections, audits, and investigations to ensure compliance with MHSA regulations and company standards
• Supervise, guide, and coach Drill and Blast Quality Controllers to maintain quality and performance standards
• Identify deviations in drilling and blasting, implement corrective actions, and enhance team efficiency
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in drill and blast processes

• Grade 12
• Blasting Certificate
• 3 years experience in open-cast mining production
