SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a Dispatch Manager to join their main food manufacturing plant in Cato Ridge.

The purpose of the role is to ensure, to ensure the safe and efficient receipt, storage, inventory and dispatch of warehoused goods.
To ensure efficient systems and controls are in place to ensure the above and to manage the costs of warehousing including (but not limited
to), staffing, breakages, shortages and materials such as pallets and packaging. To implement, execute and co-ordinate of these processes
and systems to ensure the smooth running of the warehouse and dispatch

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements:

Matric / Grade 12
Supply Chain/ Distribution qualification
English – Fluent in speaking and writing. 5+ years in a warehouse environment
Supervisory and/or management experience
Food Safety knowledge a must –FSSC 22000
Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)

Key Responsibilities:

Create, implement and ensure execution of the procedures and processes related to : Warehousing and Distribution
Conduct physical counts of products and reconcile with data to maintain adequate inventory levels.
Daily, weekly and monthly stocktakes as planned
Plan and co-ordinate picking and despatch requirements for the week
Monitor, analyse and resolve all stock variances
Liaise with maintenance on all machinery (forklift) requirements and racking in terms of general maintenance and repairs.
Ensuring quality control standards are met.
Ensuring health and safety regulations and standards are met.
Management of dispatch team in terms of: o Performance
o Discipline
o Training
o Regulatory requirements
Develop, implement and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility.
Analyse and report on all key production indicators in terms of efficiencies and variances. Including but not limited to:
o Breakages
o Shortages
o Stock holdings : packaging and product stock
